Posting to Facebook is great! You can engage customers, share new ideas, and promote your business. If you post the right way it can be very effective! Here are 3 posting errors that you should watch out for. 1. Do not use too much punctuation!!!!!!! or too MANY CAPS........ Punctuation is great!!!! It gets the little voice in every person's head to either yell!!! or question???? But it can take away from your message............. DO YOU GET WHAT I'M SAYING?????? It can be ANNOYING. Keep your punctuation and capital letters to a minimum. 2. You do not need to engage every person in every post. It is ok to sometimes post something to a targeted group of people! A lot of people who post to Facebook try to engage every single person who likes their page. This can actually minimize the amount of specific helpful information you can post. Think of your audience in various segments understanding the needs and questions of each. Post in a balanced way with a good mix of info for all groups. Take the time to establish a target group to attract with a post. 3. Do not just promote yourself. You've seen it. I've seen it. We have all seen it... That one Facebook page that only talks about themselves. If you only post about what you are doing and what you can do then it will take away from your service or product. Post information that will help your following. Post for the people, not just for you! If you avoid these simple mistakes then you are one step closer to moving your business forward.
